Right-click any empty spot on your desktop.
Empty means not on an icon — the menu is different if you right-click a file.
Steps in text
- Right-click any empty spot on your desktop.
- Click Display settings.
- The Display page opens — no Settings navigation needed.
- Scroll to Scale & layout and click the Display resolution dropdown.
- Pick the resolution marked (Recommended).
- Click Keep changes in the confirmation that appears.
- The new resolution is applied.
