Most unwanted pages are blank pages caused by extra paragraph marks.

Turn on formatting marks first: on the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the ¶ (Show/Hide) button.

Steps in text

  1. Most unwanted pages are blank pages caused by extra paragraph marks.
  2. Click at the very start of the blank page, then select down to the end of it.
  3. Press Delete (or Backspace) to remove the selected marks.
  4. To delete a page that has content, select everything on it and press Delete.
