Hold ⌘, then tap the comma key.

⌘ sits beside the space bar. Either ⌘ works — only one is needed.

Steps in text

  1. Hold ⌘, then tap the comma key.
  2. Safari's Settings window opens.
  3. Click the Passwords tab. Your Mac asks for your login password or Touch ID before showing anything.
  4. Click a site in the list to reveal its password.
  5. The password is now readable.
